GIS Frontend Developer

Hexagon US Federal, an independent subsidiary of Hexagon Corporation, is seeking a GIS Frontend Developer to join their Cartographic Web Services (CWS) Team. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for updating and maintaining the existing web frontend for CWS, while collaborating with the UI/UX team to design the new generation of the CWS user experience using modern web development technologies.

The CWS product is a proven solution for rapid production of cartographic products, leveraging over 30 years of research and development into automating the cartographic process. It's currently used by national mapping agencies for both military and humanitarian missions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing a new frontend for the automated mapping system
• Delivering new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for the existing frontend
• Writing unit tests, integration tests, and application code
• End-to-end delivery of software and cloud capability

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience implementing modern web applications
• B.S. in Computer Science, a STEM-related discipline, or relevant coursework in geographic information science
• Experience with modern web development frameworks (Vue, React, or Angular)
• Highly experienced with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience deploying and supporting end-user software with an active user-base
• Comfortable in Windows development and application environments
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance
