Sr. Software Engineer

Hexagon US Federal, an independent subsidiary of Hexagon Corporation, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join their Cartographic Web Services (CWS) Team. As a Geospatial Software Developer, you'll be part of a team responsible for the rapid production of cartographic products, leveraging over 30 years of research and development in automating the cartographic process.

Your role will involve working within a GIS production team to develop application automation, improving efficiencies. You'll be responsible for updating and maintaining the existing CWS backend system, while collaborating with UI/UX and frontend teams to implement the new generation of the CWS user experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering new features and enhancements to improve efficiency in a production environment
• Deploying and maintaining production systems on classified government networks
• Gathering requirements and creating user documentation
• Assisting in the development of the new CWS UI/UX

The ideal candidate will have:

• B.S. in Computer Science, a STEM-related discipline, or relevant coursework in geographic information science
• 10+ years developing complex backend software
• 6+ years of experience in VB.Net, C#, ASP development
• Experience with automation application programming and web technologies
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance

Additional desired experience includes GIS software automation, Python scripting, geospatial mapping applications, and various database and cloud technologies.
