Responsibilities For Security Engineer
- Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for computer systems, networks and information
- Identify and define system security requirements
- Partner with engineering teams on security and privacy initiatives
- Analyze security posture and identify gaps/potential vulnerabilities
- Design computer security architecture and develop cyber security designs
- Write comprehensive security assessment reports
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices
- Adhere to information assets protection policies
- Report security violations/breaches to appropriate authority
Requirements For Security Engineer
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer
- Experience in building and maintaining security systems
- Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, IDS, anti-virus software, authentication systems
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with network security and monitoring tools
- Thorough understanding of security principles, techniques, and protocols
- Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
