Responsibilities For FPGA Engineer IV
- Support FPGA scope of development, design, test, and manufacturing of electronic Motion Control products
- Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams
- Lead implementation of FPGA-based control systems
- Perform individual design tasks
- Participate in design reviews
- Document designs
- Interface with customers in technical role
- Review work and tasks of other team members
Requirements For FPGA Engineer IV
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with FPGA design for embedded systems
- Proficiency in Verilog and VHDL
- Experience with board-level communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, SerDes, UART/RS-422)
- Documentation skills
- Experience with source control systems (Git, SVN)
- Prototype development, debugging, and testing experience
- Experience in motion control and electromechanical systems for space environments
- Brushed/Brushless DC Motor control knowledge
- PID Control loop design and implementation experience
- Knowledge of additional software languages (System Verilog, TCL, Python, C, C++)
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink
