Description For Senior Data Engineer - Hometrack

Hometrack, a leading provider in the mortgage industry, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their product team. The role focuses on delivering customer reporting and analytics data visualization solutions that showcase their AVM and Mortgage Operations product performance. The company serves nine of the top 10 mortgage providers, helping lenders increase automated property risk decisions for better operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will lead technical decisions, work with Databricks and Delta Lake architecture, and have strong skills in Pandas, SQL, and PySpark. They'll need to understand cloud networking principles, GDPR compliance, and data visualization tools. The role involves building stable, scalable, and secure data products while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For Senior Data Engineer - Hometrack

  • Build and deliver customer reporting and analytics data visualization layer
  • Help deliver Hometrack's AVM and Mortgage Operations product performance
  • Ensure data products are stable, scalable, secure, accurate, observable, and performant
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements For Senior Data Engineer - Hometrack

Python
  • Experience leading teams to make technical decisions for commercial goals
  • Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture
  • Strong in Pandas, SQL, and PySpark
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking principles, including Azure Virtual Networks
  • Experience with GDPR compliant architecture
  • Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, or Metabase)
  • Ability to write maintainable, testable code and provide code reviews
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Analytics, Security, and Software teams
