This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the framework for scalable engineering operations, with a focus on production reliability and developer productivity.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $165,000 and comes with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, and flexible PTO. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of building and improving automated frameworks for CICD pipelines, testing, and observability capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of DevOps experience and strong expertise in modern scripting languages, Linux systems, and containerized environments. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including AWS, Jenkins, and various programming languages like Python, PHP, Java, and Node.js.

Responsibilities For DevOps Engineer

  • Build new automated frameworks to improve Houzz's CICD pipelines, testing, and observability capabilities
  • Create and enhance tooling to improve developers' productivity in local and nonproduction environments
  • Improve existing processes and frameworks as part of a rapid delivery cycle
  • Maintain CICD platforms such as GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker
  • Collaborate closely with multiple engineering teams across infrastructure and product engineering
  • Production oncall support, identifying and resolving issues in an agile environment

Requirements For DevOps Engineer

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Experience with modern scripting languages (bash, python)
  • Highly proficient with modern Unix/Linux operating systems/distributions
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably in a microservices environment
  • Experience working in containerized environments
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team player, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English (both verbal and written)
