Responsibilities For Embedded Systems Engineer
- Contribute technical expertise in designing, fabricating, integrating and testing RF and electromagnetic components
- Work with scientists and engineers to develop state of the art RF subsystems for communication, radar and EW applications
- Solve customer problems
- Write invention disclosures
- Publish papers
- Brief customers
- Participate in proposal activities
- Assist in marketing HRL expertise
- Operate complex electronic equipment
- Perform detailed analyses of integrated circuits
- Prepare written and oral presentations
Requirements For Embedded Systems Engineer
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering
- Working familiarity with C/C++, Python, and MATLAB, other low level languages
- Experience with circuit board design and evaluation
- Experience in low level programming especially for embedded platforms
- Understanding of PCB design, assembly, and PCB layout software
- Ability to write test and control software for complex and varied systems
- Ability to rapidly prototype with evaluation platforms
- Familiarity with RF and high speed digital test equipment
- Knowledge of Xilinx Zynq SoCs
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain security clearance desired
- Must be willing to travel
