Description For Modern Workplace Engineer

HSO is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineer to join their team in a remote capacity. This role focuses on implementing and managing Microsoft 365 solutions and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft modern workplace technologies, including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Azure Active Directory. They will be responsible for deploying and managing device configurations, implementing security policies, and providing technical support to clients. Responsibilities For Modern Workplace Engineer

  • Implementation, configuration, technical support and management of Microsoft 365 solutions
  • Deploy and manage device and application configurations using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Configure and manage Azure Active Directory, including user provisioning, identity governance, and single sign-on
  • Provide hands-on support for issues related to modern workplace tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with collaboration platforms, device management, and endpoint security
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Implement security policies, including conditional access, data loss prevention (DLP), and mobile device management (MDM)
  • Implement and manage security and compliance policies for Microsoft 365
  • Migrate on-premises workloads to Microsoft 365
  • Assist with licensing discussions that include Microsoft 365, Power Automate, or Azure

Requirements For Modern Workplace Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive
  • Proven experience migrating from Google and Slack platforms
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and identity management, with proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Microsoft 365 certifications such as MS-500, MD-100, MD-101 are a plus
  • Deep understanding of business process analysis, optimization, and automation principles
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong client-facing skills, empathy, and ability to guide clients through challenging problems
