Senior Windows Engineer

Hudson River Trading is seeking a Senior Windows Engineer to join their IT team. In this role, you'll contribute to enhancing Windows platform reliability through automation, addressing technical inefficiencies in on-premise and Azure infrastructure. Key responsibilities include designing and operating monitoring and log aggregation systems, implementing configuration as code, and developing PowerShell-based systems for improved reliability.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, comfortable in fast-paced environments, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. You'll need 10+ years of experience as a Microsoft-based technology engineer, with expertise in monitoring platforms, configuration as code (e.g., Salt, Ansible, Microsoft DSC), orchestration platforms like Jenkins, log aggregation systems (ELK stack or Splunk), and Veeam backup management.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop PowerShell systems for task automation and Windows platform reliability
• Implement configuration as code to streamline Windows infrastructure management
• Use automation to address inefficiencies in Windows endpoints, infrastructure, and Azure resources
• Participate in ongoing efforts to enhance the Windows environment

Annual base salary ranges from $150,000 to $250,000, with potential for bonuses and additional benefits.
