Backend Platform Engineer

The Platform team at HUMAN is responsible for a production platform that handles hundreds of thousands to millions of requests per second with strict response time limitations and high availability. This critical system presents endless infrastructure engineering challenges. We run tens of thousands of nodes on a multi-region cloud environment, with a strong emphasis on performance, efficiency, and FinOps.

We're seeking a strong and experienced Backend Platform Engineer with a passion for infrastructure and big data. The ideal candidate is passionate, tech-savvy, and independent, capable of identifying and suggesting potential improvements, working well within a team, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing production infrastructure
• Identifying and pursuing improvements in data infrastructure
• Taking responsibility for production architecture
• Mentoring and educating the team
• Having a key impact on system performance
• Shaping team vision and culture

Requirements:

• 4+ years of hands-on Backend development experience
• Strong passion for infrastructure and DevOps technologies
• Ability to learn and understand Big Data and analyze traffic trends
• Team player with leadership potential
• Strong experience with at least two programming languages
• Involvement in tech communities is a big advantage
