Software Engineer - Kotlin/JVM (Warsaw)

hyperexponential is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Kotlin/JVM for their Warsaw office. The engineering department at hyperexponential is described as a melting pot of bright and kind engineers, fostering a creative and innovative environment that pushes technological boundaries.

The role is part of the Model Development Experience (MDX) Team, whose mission is to empower customers to build and iterate their models faster and easier, with advanced tooling for novel insights and assistance. The team is committed to improving existing user flows and modularizing technical systems to reduce complex coupling with other teams.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with various stakeholders to understand problems and develop solutions, writing high-quality code, driving technical standards and strategy, continuous learning and improvement, helping to evolve ways of working as the company grows, coordinating with other engineering teams, and supporting the product in production through an on-call rota.

The ideal candidate should have experience with Kotlin/JVM technologies, Spring, and Hibernate. Understanding of Version Control Systems is required, and basic knowledge of Python and/or TypeScript is a plus. The role demands a good working knowledge of fundamental computer science and software engineering principles, as well as experience with a complete product development lifecycle.
