Description For Field Application Engineer

Impinj, a pioneering force in RAIN RFID and Internet of Things technology, is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer to join their innovative team. This role represents a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge RFID technology that has already connected over 100 billion items worldwide.

The position is based in Helsinki, Finland, operating under Voyantic, an Impinj subsidiary, with a flexible remote work arrangement. As the primary technical liaison between Impinj and EMEAI ecosystem partners, you'll be at the forefront of implementing RAIN RFID UHF short-range communication solutions. The role combines technical expertise with customer interaction, requiring both engineering depth and excellent communication skills.

Your responsibilities will span from promoting EPIC products and providing technical support to ecosystem partners, to developing proof of concepts and ensuring quality manufacturing processes. Responsibilities For Field Application Engineer

  • Work with Impinj EMEAI team to promote EPIC products
  • Provide technical support to ecosystem partners
  • Serve as product technical domain specialist
  • Represent customer requirements to product management
  • Work with Voyantic tools for ecosystem support
  • Build technology demonstrations and proof of concepts
  • Review and monitor quality and manufacturing
  • Develop technical contacts within label ecosystem
  • Develop requirements for label attach use-cases

Requirements For Field Application Engineer

  • 7+ years of experience in applications engineering of RF products
  • Understanding of high volume manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of RF principles and antenna design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% internationally
  • Multiple languages including proficient English
