Senior Software Engineer, Backend

The Lending Platform Engineering Team at Imprint is dedicated to designing, developing, and maintaining an adaptable and innovative platform that supports a wide range of lending solutions. They ensure compliance with fintech regulations while prioritizing the security and integrity of financial data.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you will:

• Build features that directly affect user experience, including card application, payment processing, credit profile modeling, fraud detection, and general ledger.
• Be responsible for the architecture design and implementation of banking distributed systems.
• Guide technical decision-making and help choose scalable technical solutions.
• Work with the leadership team to craft a diverse and inclusive engineering culture.
• Collaborate closely with the product and design team to create perfect customer experiences.
• Work with technologies such as AWS, Go, Python, gRPC, Terraform, Kubernetes, Kafka, NoSQL, and SQL databases.

The ideal candidate should have:

• 5+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with modern languages like Java, C++, or Go
• 3+ years of experience contributing to system architecture and design
• 1+ years of experience leading system design
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability
• A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive

Additional desirable skills include experience in building payments-related products, high-scale distributed systems, and mission-critical production software systems.
