Description For Solutions Engineer

Improvado is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their rapidly scaling Series A startup. As a Solutions Engineer, you'll work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to develop creative solutions for client needs. This fast-paced role requires experience in customer-facing positions and a strong curiosity for technology. You'll be responsible for demonstrating technical expertise in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training. Key responsibilities include helping to understand customer needs, communicating with prospects and customers, identifying the best configuration options, and influencing the product roadmap based on market requirements. The ideal candidate will have moderate SQL knowledge, 3+ years of experience in a SaaS environment and Technical Pre-Sales/Sales Engineering, solid understanding of digital advertising and mar-tech space, and strong communication skills. Experience with ETL processes, data warehouses, and popular cloud storage solutions is a plus. Responsibilities For Solutions Engineer

  • Demonstrate technical expertise in sales presentations, product demonstrations, customer training, technical onboarding, RFPs, and RFIs
  • Help Sales and Customer Success understand processes, pains, needs, and wishes of prospects and customers
  • Communicate with prospects and customers via email, chat, or video calls
  • Work with prospects and customers to identify best configuration options
  • Help explain features and releases to clients
  • Collaborate with Engineering team to influence product roadmap based on market/customer requirements
  • Be a subject matter expert on Improvado's platform
  • Own discovery and qualification of Improvado's technical compatibility with prospects
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure Proof of Concepts, Trial, and Onboarding are successful
  • Act as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams
  • Utilize strong business acumen to understand and communicate business requirements and solutions strategies

Requirements For Solutions Engineer

  • Moderate SQL knowledge
  • 3+ years of experience in SaaS environment
  • 3+ years of Technical Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering / IT Project management or software engineering experience
  • Solid understanding of digital advertising, ad-tech, and mar-tech space
  • Experience as a client-facing Solution Engineer, comfortable in the sales environment
  • Superior communications skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Understanding of principles of working with large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of APIs, Relational Databases, Cloud Architecture
  • Experience with ETL processes and data warehouses
