We're seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead our security operations and serve as the technical thought leader in our rapidly growing global team.
As an early security hire, you'll be instrumental in shaping our security operations program, working across the entire security operations lifecycle. You'll focus on detection engineering, incident response, and threat assessment, while collaborating closely with security, compliance, SRE, and product engineering teams.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to build and influence our overall security strategy, particularly in developing high-signal detection strategies, conducting threat-hunting exercises, and automating security processes. You'll work in both corporate and product environments, implementing sophisticated security measures and responding to potential threats.

Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer
- Be the first line of defense to protect, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber-attacks
- Develop and run tools to gather security telemetry data from cloud production systems
- Automate workflows and improve identification and response time for security events
- Build and optimize high signal detections with enriched data and orchestration
- Define and improve processes, procedures, and technologies used for detection and response
- Develop runbooks and incident playbooks
- Lead threat hunting practices
- Research attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Respond to security events, triage, perform investigations
- Onboard new systems and services to SIEM and SOAR
- Facilitate incident response processes and tabletop exercises
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer
- Experience as a security engineer in security monitoring, detection engineering, incident response, and threat hunting in a SaaS company
- Experience developing tools and automation using common DevOps toolsets
- Understanding of common attacks, adversary tactics, and MITRE ATT&CK principles
- Operating systems internals and forensics experience for macOS, Windows & Linux
- Experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms, DLP, email security platforms
- Understanding of malware functionality and persistence mechanisms
- Ability to analyze endpoint, network, and application logs
- Practical understanding of scripting or programming
- Excellent collaborative skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication
