Software Engineer, Summer Internship

Indico Data is seeking a Backend Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This internship focuses on backend development using Python to build and optimize web applications and services. You'll work alongside senior engineers, contributing to real-world projects from day one. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable with hands-on experience and feedback.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and improving backend services using Python
• Using Docker for containerized applications and deployments
• Implementing asynchronous programming with asyncio to enhance performance
• Supporting web applications and platforms
• Debugging, testing, and optimizing code with the team

Requirements:

• Python coding experience
• Basic understanding of Docker and async programming (asyncio)
• Familiarity with web apps or platforms
• Ability to learn quickly and be productive with feedback

Bonus skills:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL
