Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) is seeking a Senior R&D 2D/Compositing Engineer to join their London team. This role combines cutting-edge technology with creative visual effects, focusing on developing tools and production techniques for image processing, compositing, and rotoscoping. The position offers the opportunity to work on major motion pictures, applying advanced techniques like depth estimation, image segmentation, and generative in-painting.

As a hybrid role, you'll be required to work minimum 2 days on-site per week. ILM continues to push boundaries in visual effects, VR, AR, and Immersive Cinema.
The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in C++ and Python, understanding of visual effects principles, and experience with industry-standard tools like Nuke. Knowledge of machine learning and ability to create user-friendly interfaces are crucial.
