Description For Technical Assistant - ILM London

Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), the world's leading visual effects facility, is seeking a Technical Assistant for their London office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a technical individual passionate about cutting-edge technology to contribute to all aspects of production at ILM. The position involves working directly with artists and production staff, collaborating closely with production and software engineers to ensure the efficiency of the production pipeline.

The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and artistic understanding, with responsibilities ranging from troubleshooting complex workflow issues to managing render queues and automating production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages, and familiarity with 3D modeling software.

Working in a hybrid model with a minimum of 2 days on-site per week, you'll be part of the legendary company that has created visual effects for over 325 feature films and contributed to many of the highest-grossing movies of all time.
