Infleqtion is seeking a senior-level opto-mechanical engineer to join their team developing world-changing products based on quantum systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design, mechanical analysis, optics, and product development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to generate opto-mechanical sub-system requirements
- Leading design, assembly, and test cycles for opto-mechanical products
- Designing systems for rugged environments while maintaining precise optical alignments
- Analyzing design performance through structural and thermal finite element analysis (FEA) and optical ray tracing simulations
- Contributing to design reviews and mentoring junior team members
- Developing manufacturing processes for assembly and alignment of products
- Characterizing opto-mechanical components and systems for performance, reliability, and stability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, optical, or relevant engineering field with at least 6 years of experience (Master's degree preferred)
- Expert knowledge of SolidWorks and experience with SolidWorks PDM
- Experience in opto-mechanical design, precision alignment of optical and laser systems
- Proficiency in structural, thermal, and optical analysis tools and methods
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
