Description For Network Engineer

INflow Federal is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team in Springfield, VA. The role involves implementing and optimizing high-speed, scalable network topologies for the Department of Defense (DoD) networks. Key responsibilities include designing WAN and LAN topologies, optimizing network latency and data throughput, validating dataflow and data formats, leading large-scale efforts, coordinating with stakeholders, performing security testing, configuring interconnects, and maintaining network devices and technologies.

The ideal candidate should have 12+ years of experience in network engineering roles, a Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent experience), and various certifications including IAT Level II baseline certification, IAT Level III certification (within 12 months), and CCIE or equivalent certification. A TS/SCI clearance with full polygraph is required.

Responsibilities For Network Engineer

  • Design and implement high-speed, scalable WAN and LAN network topologies
  • Optimize network latency and data throughput
  • Validate dataflow and data formats
  • Lead large-scale efforts with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to mitigate impacts on system-wide dataflow
  • Perform security testing and design evaluations
  • Configure interconnects between data centers, networks, and security boundaries
  • Draft technical requirements and documentation
  • Design, configure, deploy, and maintain network devices and technologies
  • Optimize system performance related to capacity, margins, data quality, and dataflow management

Requirements For Network Engineer

Linux
  • 12+ years of experience in network engineering roles
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or 4 additional years of experience)
  • IAT Level II baseline certification
  • IAT Level III certification (within 12 months of hire)
  • CCIE or equivalent certification
  • TS/SCI clearance with full polygraph
  • US Citizenship
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
