Senior Software Engineer, Backend

As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you will:

• Architect, build, iterate, and manage backend services that power the global Inkitt Platform
• Develop API contracts, create documentation, and support the application team
• Build and ship new features at high velocity and high quality
• Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to achieve product goals
• Drive architecture and technology choices for a world-class user experience
• Continuously explore new technologies to elevate the user experience

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and React
• Experience with Docker and Sidekiq (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caches, and CDNs
• Excellent communication skills and mentoring experience
