The EHS Engineer at Innophos is a crucial role within the EHS Department at the Nashville, TN site. This position serves as a primary technical resource for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and operational excellence. Working under the site EHS Manager, the engineer plays a central role in advancing all aspects of the site's Environmental and Safety programs and initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing EHS direction, leadership, and training to ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance
- Supporting compliance programs, procedures, and policies
- Implementing and maintaining environmental programs, including permit management and regulatory reporting
- Developing, writing, implementing, auditing, and maintaining EHS policies and procedures
- Delivering training sessions on various EHS topics
- Conducting inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Managing the site's HAZCOM program
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of EHS experience with a strong emphasis on environmental aspects
- Experience with Air, Water, and Waste permits
- Professional certifications such as CSP or CHMM
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices
