Senior / Staff Software Engineer

Instawork is seeking a Senior / Staff Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. As a critical member of the FAST team in San Francisco, you'll work on building new features and products across web and mobile platforms. This role involves full-stack development, with a focus on creating 0-1 products and high-velocity features. You'll contribute to best practices, tooling, and technology evaluation while acting as a tech lead for larger projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 0-1 products and high-velocity features on web and mobile
• Act as a tech lead for larger projects
• Work across the full stack in a seamless and productive environment
• Contribute to best practices, conventions, and tooling
• Evaluate new libraries and technologies

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong engineering fundamentals with hands-on coding (80% of time)
• Experience in agile, fast-paced environments
• Expertise in working with large amounts of data and designing scalable backend systems for high throughput
• Track record of launching and iterating on apps or large software projects
• Full-stack engineering background
• Experience with Django, Python, React & React Native (preferred)
• Recruiting experience is ideal (sourcing, interviewing, offering, etc.)
