Description For Product Engineer

Intercom, founded in 2011, is revolutionizing online customer service with its AI-first platform. As a Product Engineer, you'll join a multidisciplinary team to solve real customer problems through smart application of technical knowledge. You'll work on both back-end and front-end systems, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing technical plans and contributing to technical architecture
  • Writing Ruby code to integrate AWS, infrastructure, platform, and SaaS technologies
  • Shipping changes to production frequently (average 100 deployments per weekday)
  • Mentoring other engineers and interviewing candidates

The role offers exciting scaling challenges in areas such as building a beautiful messenger composer, rule matching, deliverability, security, app availability, and machine learning.
