Senior Front End Engineer - Team Messenger

Intercom, founded in 2011, is revolutionizing online customer service with its AI-first platform. As a Senior Front End Engineer on the Team Messenger, you'll be at the forefront of building and iterating on our AI-first Messenger platform. You'll work in a multidisciplinary team, focusing primarily on building features in our React Messenger front end with a Rails backend.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning problems end-to-end, collaborating with design, product, and other engineers
• Writing and shipping high-quality, well-tested React features for our web Messenger
• Developing technical plans and contributing to our React architecture
• Writing backend software using Ruby
• Shipping changes to production frequently, including on your first day
• Mentoring other engineers and interviewing candidates

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Deep knowledge of JavaScript and React
• Experience with a backend programming language
• Passion for building excellent UX/UI
• 4+ years of industry experience in software engineering, preferably in SaaS
• Experience collaborating with product teams and designers
