Description For Staff Product Engineer

Intercom, a leading AI Customer Service company, is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a platform that serves nearly 30,000 global businesses, helping them deliver exceptional customer experiences through their advanced AI agent Fin and Helpdesk solution.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll play a crucial leadership role within the engineering organization, working on both back-end and front-end systems. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, requiring you to mentor other engineers and partner with Engineering Managers to develop the team and technical strategy.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership position. You should have deep knowledge of high-level programming languages and distributed systems. Experience building exciting SaaS products and a track record of delivering customer value are essential. The role offers a hybrid working model requiring 2 days per week in the office.

Requirements For Staff Product Engineer

Ruby
  • 7+ years experience working as a full stack software engineer
  • Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (Ruby, Python, Perl etc.)
  • Experience with Distributed systems
  • 2+ years of experience as the primary technical leader for a team
  • Experience collaborating with product teams and designers
  • Proven track record of delivering value to customers
