Intuit, a leading global financial technology platform serving 100 million customers worldwide, is seeking a Principal Product Manager for their Externalization initiative. This role represents a unique opportunity to act as an internal entrepreneur, similar to an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) in the venture capital world, but with access to Intuit's extensive capabilities and resources.

The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring the ability to identify valuable internal capabilities and transform them into new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring together technical expertise, business acumen, and entrepreneurial spirit to drive innovation within Intuit's ecosystem.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Evaluating internal core capabilities and identifying externalization opportunities
  • Conducting comprehensive market research and customer problem analysis
  • Designing and executing rapid business experiments
  • Developing and validating product-market fit
  • Creating detailed business plans and investment proposals

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $187,500 to $307,000 depending on location, plus additional benefits and equity rewards. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced product leaders who want to combine the stability of a large tech company with the excitement of entrepreneurial ventures.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of technology industry experience, with strong capabilities in business analysis, experimentation, and new business development. Knowledge of fintech and experience with AI/ML products is highly valued. This role provides the unique opportunity to either launch and lead new ventures or continue creating new businesses within Intuit's innovative environment.

Working with cross-functional teams across engineering, design, data science, and business functions, you'll have the resources and support to turn innovative ideas into successful business ventures. If you're passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and solving complex customer problems, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact while advancing your career in product management.
