The position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring you to evaluate internal core capabilities and transform them into new business opportunities. You'll be responsible for identifying market opportunities, conducting deep customer research, and developing solutions through rapid experimentation.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of technology experience, with strong expertise in business analysis, experimentation, and new business development. You'll need to demonstrate strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, data science, and other teams.

Key responsibilities include assessing internal capabilities, conducting market research, developing customer solutions, executing business experiments, and ultimately writing Series A investment memos for new ventures. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to either launch new businesses or join existing ventures within Intuit.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $187,500 to $307,000 depending on location and experience, plus additional benefits and equity rewards. Responsibilities For Principal Product Manager- Externalization

  • Define and assess internal core capabilities with greatest externalization potential
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities
  • Build end-to-end understanding of customer journey through interviews and observations
  • Develop benefits and solutions for customer problems
  • Design and execute rapid business experiments
  • Develop and execute rapid tests for product-market fit
  • Write Series A investment memo and business scaling strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data science, marketing, risk, partnership and sales

Requirements For Principal Product Manager- Externalization

  • 3+ years experience in business analysis, strategic planning, or management consulting
  • 3+ years experience in designing experiments and rapid prototyping
  • 3+ years experience in new business development
  • 5+ years working in technology companies with strong interest in fintech
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing assessment frameworks
  • BA or BS degree required with focus in computer science or business administration preferred
  • Knowledge of AI and ML in product offerings (plus)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
