This role focuses on GenAI Risk Program and Technical Compliance Engineering, reporting to the CISO.
The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $206,000 to $278,500 for the Southern California location, along with bonus potential and equity rewards. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the secure implementation of GenAI/ML technologies while protecting customer and employee information.
As a Senior Staff Security Engineer, you'll lead complex technical initiatives, drive security reviews, and implement robust solutions across multiple architecture layers. The role requires expertise in various technologies including Java, Python, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Kafka, with a strong background in secure application development and distributed systems.
Key responsibilities include coordinating multiple teams for GenAI/ML implementation, driving security reviews, designing scalable solutions, and providing technical leadership. You'll also mentor other engineers and stay current with industry trends in mobile/SaaS/PaaS technologies.

Responsibilities For Senior Staff Security Engineer
- Coordinate activities for GenAI/ML implementation to protect customer and employee information
- Drive significant technology initiatives and security reviews across multiple architecture layers
- Drive design and implementation of durable software solutions
- Recommend development best practices for secure application development
- Capture security requirements and use cases
- Deliver technical design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure web services
- Partner with other groups for cross-functional design and solution integration
- Stay abreast of mobile/SaaS/PaaS trends and standards
- Provide technical leadership and be a role model to software engineers
- Coach and mentor other engineers in process and methodologies
- Provide perspective on leading industry trends and recommendations on new technologies
Requirements For Senior Staff Security Engineer
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related area or equivalent relevant experience
- Direct experience and passion for AI/ML
- 5+ years of experience developing systems/software for large business environments (Java, J2EE)
- 3+ years of experience designing complex distributed systems
- Solid design and coding skills (Python, JAVA, REST, JSON, YAML, GraphQL)
- Strong experience leading design and implementation of robust and highly scalable web services
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kafka and ActiveMQ a plus
- Excellent communication skills
