Intuit Data Exchange is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join their platform team. This role involves moving data in and out of Intuit to support applications like QuickBooks, TurboTax, and Credit Karma. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality web or mobile software, with 80-95% hands-on coding. Key responsibilities include contributing to early quality activities, resolving defects/bugs, partnering with team members, and working cross-functionally with various Intuit teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, experience with Java or similar languages, and knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and ArgoCD. Responsibilities For Software Engineer 2

  • Deliver high-quality web or mobile software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)
  • Perform 80-95% hands-on coding
  • Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code
  • Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
  • Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
  • Demonstrate commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
  • Show passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers

Requirements For Software Engineer 2

Java
Kubernetes
  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years experience developing web, software, or mobile applications
  • Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
  • Programming language experience, preferably Java
  • AWS experience is a plus
  • Experience with technologies like Kubernetes, Docker and ArgoCD
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Understanding and preferably experience with web services (REST or SOAP)
  • Understanding of unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to make decisions independently
  • Helpful, can-do attitude and willingness to take ownership of problems
  • Strong desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
