Description For Software Engineer 2

Intuit is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join their Intuit Data Exchange (IDX) team. This role involves developing high-quality web software, with 85-95% hands-on coding. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and creative problem-solving.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality web software (requirements, design, code, documentation)
  • Contributing to early quality activities, including peer reviews
  • Resolving defects/bugs during various stages of development and production
  • Partnering with team members and cross-functional teams
  • Working with Agile Development methodologies

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience developing web software applications
  • Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Languages, particularly Java/J2EE
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with web services (REST or SOAP)
  • Knowledge of unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities

  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Understanding of web services (REST or SOAP)
  • Understanding of unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
