Description For Staff Software Engineer

Intuit, a leading global financial technology platform, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their CI/CD team within the Development Productivity organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on scalable distributed systems that power development productivity across the Intuit ecosystem, which serves approximately 100 million customers worldwide through products like TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp.

The position requires a seasoned professional with at least 6 years of experience who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical infrastructure that enables continuous integration and deployment throughout Intuit. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Go programming, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices, along with experience in multiple programming languages including Python, JavaScript, and Java.

Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer

  • Design, build and operate systems and tools that enable Intuit developers to continuously build and deploy complex software solutions
  • Work closely with other developers, architects, and product managers to understand requirements
  • Identify and address performance, security, and scalability issues
  • Develop automated tests and tools to ensure product quality
  • Manage and monitor production systems and respond to incidents
  • Stay current with latest developments in technology such as GenAI and integrate them into products

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in software development
  • Comprehensive fluency in the Go programming language and ecosystem
  • Basic fluency in Python, Javascript and Java programming languages
  • Extensive experience working with Kubernetes
  • Focus on delivery through empowering junior developers, communication and teamwork
  • Experience with Jenkins and leading migrations from Jenkins to other CI solutions
  • Experience with Github CI/Actions and Argo CD
  • Familiarity with the AWS cloud computing platform
  • Proficiency with building REST APIs
