Senior Product Engineer

invygo, founded in 2018 in Dubai, is on a mission to redefine mobility in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). We aim to empower people to move on their own terms, minimizing frustrations caused by traditional car ownership models. Our goal is to make car access seamless and flexible for everyone.

We're seeking a product-minded Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, writing, and delivering software while closely collaborating with team members. You'll contribute to evolving legacy codebases and implementing innovative solutions to drive our products to new heights, aligning them with business objectives and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development & Emergent Design Practices:

   • Design, write, and deliver software while improving platform reliability and stability.
   • Evaluate and evolve legacy systems, implementing strategies to refine and modernize our tech stack.
   • Drive adoption of best practices in development and design.
   • Experience in TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Refactoring, and Simple Design is a plus.

2. Collaboration and Mentorship:

   • Coach junior engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and brown bag sessions.
   • Act as a role model in fostering effective teamwork and communication.
   • Collaborate with team members to make sound decisions.
   • Cultivate a collaborative team culture valuing innovative thinking and continuous improvement.

3. Product Mindset:

   • Deliver value to customers while deeply understanding their needs and crafting practical solutions.

• Experience working in a collaborative, customer-centric environment.
• Strong bias towards simple solutions and iterative work to reduce accidental complexity.
• Experience modernizing codebases with a track record of successful incremental improvements.
• Strong mentorship skills to inspire and collaborate with team members on technical decisions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer-driven solutions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
