Description For Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Inworld AI, the leading AI engine for games and interactive media, is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their team. As an SDET, you'll focus on automation tools and pipelines for QA, build, and release processes in Unreal, Unity, NodeJS, and WebSDK client-side applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and maintaining automation tools for test, build, and release processes across multiple platforms
  • Creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
  • Proposing and creating QA tools to speed up testing
  • Collaborating with SDK developers, backend engineers, and the QA team
  • Building and maintaining QA demo test suites/rooms

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software/game development with focus on C++, C#, or similar languages and test automation
  • Experience with Unreal or Unity game engines
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and CI/CD processes

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Game development experience, especially in tools engineering or automation
  • Background in Quality Assurance and familiarity with performance and stress testing
  • Experience with building and testing for multiple platforms (Android, iOS, Mac)
  • Familiarity with LLM models
  • Experience with test automation frameworks like Playwright or Cypress

Responsibilities For Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

  • Design, create, and maintain automation tools that support our test, build, and release processes across multiple platforms (Unreal, Unity, NodeJS, and WebSDK)
  • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment workflows
  • Propose and create QA tools and processes to speed up our testing
  • Collaborate with SDK developers, backend engineers, and the QA team to develop a unified automation and tools plan
  • Build and maintain QA demo test suites/rooms to demonstrate automation, new feature showcases, and performance testing
