IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a High Power Microwave (HPM) / Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to serve the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Indirect Fire Protection Capability – High Power Microwave (IFPC-HPM) in Huntsville, AL. As the sole HPM subject matter expert on site, you will analyze technical data, provide insights into HPM effects on equipment, and make recommendations to the Government.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing technical data packages for SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance testing, lethality analysis, and risk mitigation strategies
- Recommending optimal HPM system placement for maximum lethality while minimizing equipment impact
- Collaborating with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM experts
- Securing approvals for HPM system operation in CONUS and OCONUS
- Conducting all-source analysis for technical specifications
- Providing professional engineering advice throughout research, development, and deployment stages
- Formulating technical parameters when not available from all-source analysis
- Supporting risk assessment reports, safety assessments, and technical documentation
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with HPM/RF systems evaluation and risk mitigation
- Familiarity with the Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP)
- Knowledge of various sensors (EO/IR, Radar) and non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW)
- Strong system engineering process understanding
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
