Mechanical Design Engineer

IronMountain Solutions, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team in Huntsville, AL. This role focuses on supporting the Redstone Aviation Propulsion Test and Research (RAPTR) facility within the Redstone Test Center.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative mechanical components and systems, utilizing advanced CAD software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You'll be involved in the complete engineering cycle, from design and analysis to prototyping and testing, while ensuring compliance with ASME Y14.100 standards.

As an ideal candidate, you'll bring 3-5 years of mechanical design engineering experience, along with a bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited university. Your strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with prototyping, and ability to work collaboratively will be essential for success in this role.

The role involves working with cross-functional teams, contributing to product innovation, and maintaining accurate documentation of design processes. With less than 25% travel required, you'll primarily work from the Huntsville location, where you'll have the opportunity to make significant contributions to important aviation testing facilities.
