Description For Program Engineer

IronMountain Solutions is seeking a Program Engineer to join their team at Redstone Arsenal, AL, supporting the Utility Helicopter Project Office (UHPO). This role offers an exciting opportunity in military aviation, focusing on cargo helicopter systems and Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE).

The position is perfect for entry-level engineers with a passion for aviation and systems engineering. As a Program Engineer, you'll be integral to managing and executing technical helicopter development programs, from initial development through to sustainment. The role combines technical engineering expertise with program management responsibilities, offering a unique blend of technical and leadership experience.

Responsibilities For Program Engineer

  • Serve on Cargo Program Team for helicopter development, integration, qualification, production, modification, fielding, and sustainment
  • Support program acquisition strategies, cost and schedule estimates, and risk assessments
  • Obtain, assess, apply, and verify product airworthiness requirements
  • Manage CDRLs workflow, review, and tracking
  • Ensure program follows systems engineering processes
  • Ensure aircraft products are Army airworthiness certified
  • Collaborate with Material Developer personnel
  • Manage contractor and supplier contract performance

Requirements For Program Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school (preferred)
  • Active and transferrable DoD Secret level security clearance
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Cargo helicopters and their systems, subsystems and components
  • Willing to travel up to 30%
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 25 pounds
