Isar Aerospace is seeking a Production Engineer Additive Manufacturing to join their innovative team. This role is crucial in leveraging cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies to develop, optimize, and produce high-quality components for rocket production. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical support and striving for best-in-class products and business practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process Development: Designing and optimizing additive manufacturing processes
  • Production Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations of production lines
  • Quality Assurance: Developing and implementing quality control procedures
  • Technical Support: Providing expertise to production staff
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of production processes
  • Collaboration: Working with design engineers and R&D teams
  • Innovation: Staying current with advancements in additive manufacturing

The ideal candidate should have:

  • BSc/MSc in an engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in additive manufacturing, particularly in LBF (Metal)
  • Strong understanding of additive manufacturing technologies and materials
  • Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with slicing software
  • Results-oriented approach with ability to meet project deadlines
  • Resilience and ability to work well under pressure
  • Lean production knowledge
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Fluency in English (German is a plus)

Responsibilities For Production Engineer Additive Manufacturing

  • Design, implement, and optimize additive manufacturing processes
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of additive manufacturing production lines
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures
  • Provide technical expertise and support to production staff
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Maintain detailed documentation of production processes
  • Work closely with design engineers, R&D teams, and other stakeholders
  • Stay current with advancements in additive manufacturing techniques
  • Ensure operation in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies

Requirements For Production Engineer Additive Manufacturing

  • BSc/MSc in an engineering discipline
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in additive manufacturing / in LBF (Metal)
  • Strong understanding of additive manufacturing technologies and materials
  • Strong practical experience with CAD Software (e.g. SolidWorks, NX or similar) and familiarity with slicing software
  • Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
  • Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
  • Lean production knowledge
  • Highly organised and proactive with high attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
  • Fluent in English, German is a Plus
