JASARA PMC is seeking an Engineering Policies, Standards and Guidelines Engineer to join their dedicated team. This crucial role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining engineering policies, standards, and guidelines to support projects and ensure compliance with industry best practices. The position is vital for enhancing the quality and consistency of engineering deliverables across the organization.
Key responsibilities include: • Supporting the update of technical policies, standards, and guidelines related to Engineering Services (design, engineering, construction, risk, quantity surveying, HSE, Sustainability, BIM, GIS). • Studying best practices in design and engineering policies and assessing their applicability. • Reviewing government guidelines on safety, environment, and sustainability policies, procedures, and standards. • Examining international guidelines for developing infrastructure and facilities, incorporating applicable rules and regulations. • Updating Engineering Services Policies and Guidelines. • Coordinating with Regulatory Authorities to update standards. • Recommending updates to standards, policies, and guidelines for approval at the Infrastructure Board. • Tracking compliance with engineering policies, guidelines, and standards. • Supporting design reviews at various project stages (30%, 60%, 90% completion) to ensure compliance.
The ideal candidate should have: • A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering or equivalent. • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering standards and policy development. • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in technical writing and documentation. • Experience in conducting training and workshops. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
