The role involves designing and implementing a cost-efficient, robust skill-matching platform that optimizes candidate-to-job matching. You'll be working within the Content and Data team, focusing on both rule-based and LLM-based approaches to create a scalable, high-quality matching system.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse, global team of 30 professionals spread across multiple countries, including Spain, Belgium, Israel, France, Colombia, Madagascar, Italy, Ukraine, Portugal, the USA, and India. Key technical aspects of the role include:
- Architecting and implementing skill-matching systems using both traditional and AI-driven approaches
- Building and maintaining sophisticated skill ontologies and knowledge bases
- Developing APIs and microservices for match scoring and ranking
- Optimizing system performance for real-time matching at scale
- Implementing robust monitoring and maintenance systems
The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of relevant experience, strong programming skills (particularly in Python), and expertise in databases and cloud platforms. A background in NLP, machine learning, or AI is essential, as is experience with modern AI tools like transformers and word embeddings.

Responsibilities For Senior Machine Learning Engineer (NLP focus)
- Design and implement overall system architecture for skill matching
- Build and maintain taxonomy/ontology for skill relationships
- Automate updates to skill ontology using AI/LLM methods
- Design and build APIs or microservices for skill matching
- Manage database interactions for candidate and job skill data
- Optimize system for real-time candidate-to-job matching
- Implement load testing and monitoring
- Establish logging, analytics, and alerting pipelines
- Refine matching algorithms based on user feedback
- Collaborate with product managers and recruiters
Requirements For Senior Machine Learning Engineer (NLP focus)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering or data science experience
- Proficient in Python, with solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with transformers, word embeddings, or classical ML approaches
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong background in problem-solving and statistical thinking
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Fluency in English and Spanish
