Description For Technical Business Data Analyst

JPMorgan Chase's Corporate Investment Banking - Post Trade Technology Regulatory Reporting team is seeking a Technical Business Data Analyst to join their dynamic team in Mumbai. This role sits at the intersection of technology and finance, focusing on regulatory reporting for global trading operations.

The position involves working with major regulations across North America (CFTC, SEC), Europe (EMIR, MiFID), and APAC regions (ASIC, MAS, JFSA). You'll be responsible for mining global JPMC trade data in large data stores and helping build reports and dashboards for regulatory compliance and surveillance.

As a techno-functional data engineer with a software engineering background, you'll have the opportunity to work on high-priority regulatory reporting initiatives while collaborating with colleagues throughout the firm. The role offers excellent exposure to investment banking domain knowledge while allowing you to leverage modern data technologies including AI/ML, Python, and various data tools.

Key responsibilities include performing detailed data analysis, managing data accuracy, planning and analyzing compliance requirements, and building automation solutions to reduce manual operations. You'll work closely with multiple technology and business teams, conducting global training sessions and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of technology business analyst experience, strong database skills, and excellent communication abilities. Responsibilities For Technical Business Data Analyst

  • Perform detailed data analysis of requirements by running database queries
  • Liaise with development team and provide on-going clarifications
  • Managing and drive Data accuracy: Identify data gaps, anomalies, issues in regulatory reporting
  • Detailed planning and analysis of the data and compliance requirements
  • Generate testing plan/test cases, perform UAT support
  • Conducting global training for all developers on business
  • Track change requests and communicate impact
  • Build detailed documentation for functional processes
  • Provide automation & self service functionality for reports

Requirements For Technical Business Data Analyst

Python
  • Minimum 3-5 years of technology business analyst experience
  • Degree from reputed University with good grades
  • Knowledge of database technologies and hands-on data analysis
  • Strong communication skills in English – verbal and written
  • Experience with modern data technologies, AI/ML, Python, Data Bricks, Spark
  • A product mindset
  • Good co-ordination skills
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC phases
  • Strong understanding of business function
