Director of Software Engineering

As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset Management Alternatives Tech Team, you will be leading our India-based team. Your role will involve collaborating with business, product, and both global and local technology teams to deliver well-engineered solutions to complex business problems.

You will be tasked with designing and building software to cater to the needs of Cross Alts Expense Management and Treasury Management. Additionally, you will lead AI/ML global deliverables for Alts Tech and utilize your knowledge, skills, and experience to promote positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and management of the team providing guidance on best practice and architecture
• Partner with global leads for consistent backlog management and agile process
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design engineering solutions
• Participate in global Alts leadership teams to shape platform vision
• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Gather and analyze data for continuous improvement
• Manage multiple stakeholders and complex projects

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years applied experience in computer science/engineering
• 5+ years experience leading cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Python, AWS, REACT
• Expert in Agility practices, SDLC processes, CICD
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
