The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Executive Director for their Machine Learning Center of Excellence (MLCOE) team. This role focuses on applying advanced machine learning techniques to complex tasks including natural language processing, speech analytics, time series, reinforcement learning, and recommendation systems.
The position involves working in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with business professionals, technologists, and control partners to implement solutions into production. The ideal candidate should have a passion for machine learning with expertise in Deep Learning and Large Language Models, coupled with hands-on implementation experience and strong analytical thinking.
As an Executive Director, you will be responsible for:
- Researching and implementing cutting-edge machine learning methods
- Developing state-of-the-art models for NLP, speech recognition, and other ML applications
- Collaborating across multiple teams to deploy production solutions
- Driving firm-wide initiatives through large-scale ML frameworks
Required qualifications include a PhD in a quantitative field with 5+ years of experience (or MS with 8+ years), strong background in NLP/speech recognition, and extensive experience with ML/DL toolkits. Requirements For Machine Learning Scientist - Natural Language Processing (NLP) - Executive Director - Machine Learning Center of Excellence
- PhD in a quantitative discipline with at least five years of experience or MS with eight years of experience
- Solid background in NLP or speech recognition and analytics
- Extensive experience with machine learning and deep learning toolkits
- Ability to design experiments and training frameworks
- Experience with big data and scalable model training
- Scientific thinking with ability to invent and work both independently and in teams
- Solid written and spoken communication skills
