NLP / LLM Scientist - Applied AI ML Senior Associate - Machine Learning Centre of Excellence

The Machine Learning Center of Excellence (MLCOE) at JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior NLP/LLM Scientist to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply sophisticated machine learning methods to complex tasks including natural language processing, speech analytics, time series, reinforcement learning and recommendation systems.

As a Senior ML Scientist, you'll be working in a highly collaborative environment alongside business, technology and control partners to deploy cutting-edge AI solutions into production. The role requires someone with deep expertise in machine learning, particularly in NLP and deep learning, with hands-on implementation experience and strong analytical thinking.

The MLCOE team partners across the firm to create and share Machine Learning Solutions for our most challenging business problems. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary community of experts focused exclusively on Machine Learning, working with cutting-edge techniques in disciplines such as Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning.

The position sits within the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO), which is responsible for accelerating the firm's data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring data quality and security, generating insights, and leveraging AI/ML technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a quantitative field or MS with significant industry experience, strong background in NLP/speech recognition, and expertise with modern ML frameworks. You should be passionate about staying current with ML innovations and comfortable communicating technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
