Description For Python Developer - Lead Security Engineer (Firmwide Resiliency)

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to join their Cybersecurity and Technology Controls team within the Firmwide Technology Resiliency division. This role offers an opportunity to impact cyber security and push the limits of what's possible in securing one of the world's largest financial institutions.

As a Lead Security Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering software solutions that prevent misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. You'll work on critical technology solutions requiring tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas and business functions. The role combines creative security solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting with a focus on building robust security measures.

The position is part of the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group, which aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency teams. This group strategically partners with all lines of business to enable them to design, adopt and integrate appropriate controls, deliver processes efficiently, and drive automation of controls.

Key responsibilities include developing secure production code, creating monitoring tools for controls compliance, conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and working with business leaders to enhance security protocols. The role requires expertise in Python, SQL, and various security tools, along with a strong understanding of financial services IT systems.

This is a High Risk Role (HRR) requiring enhanced pre-hire screening including criminal and credit background checks due to the sensitive nature of cybersecurity functions performed. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $152,000 to $215,000, along with comprehensive benefits including healthcare, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.

Join a team that prioritizes keeping one of the world's largest financial institutions safe, stable, and resilient while working with cutting-edge security technologies and contributing to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
