As a Site Reliability Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Finance Technology group, you will use technology to solve business problems and leverage software engineering best practices as we strive towards excellence. This role often works independently to execute small to medium projects, but you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams to continually improve your level of knowledge about JPMorgan Chase's business and relevant technologies.
You will be part of a global team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable highly available resilient systems for the Finance and Regulatory Reporting domain. The role involves establishing and improving SRE best practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and automation. You'll work closely with Development and Business Operation teams to enhance reliability, performance, and scalability of the applications portfolio.
Key aspects of the role include implementing DevOps methodologies, working with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployments. You'll use modern observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack to monitor and improve system performance while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SRE principles, proficiency in programming languages like Python or Go, and familiarity with containerization and Linux systems. You'll be joining a collaborative, globally distributed team where you can grow your expertise in finance technology while contributing to critical systems that power one of the world's largest financial institutions.
