As a Software Engineer - Model Risk Governance & Review - Analyst at JPMorgan Chase within the Model Risk Governance & Review (MRGR) team, you will be responsible for developing tools to enhance efficiency and minimize redundancy. The role involves supporting model reviewers and governance teams in creating independent testing and efficiency tools. You'll work within Risk Management and Compliance, focusing on delivering top-notch solutions by prioritizing data controls, testing, and user experience.
The MRGR team is a global team of modeling experts within the firm's Risk Management and Compliance organization. The team conducts independent model validation and model governance activities to help identify, measure, and mitigate Model Risk in the firm. You'll be working with the Chief Operating Office (COO) which supports model risk stakeholders in their review and governance activities.
Your work will primarily involve development using Python within Athena (JPMorganChase's proprietary framework), as well as Tableau and QlikView/QlikSense frameworks. You'll be responsible for building tools for automation, creating dashboard reports, and developing intelligent solutions to support MRGR staff activities.
