Software Engineer III - UI- React/Typescript - Neovest - Athens

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Neovest, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

The role requires proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, along with experience in testing frameworks. You should have a fundamental understanding of lower-level design principles in JavaScript/TypeScript and be knowledgeable about industry-standard bundlers like Webpack and Rollup. Experience in optimizing JavaScript compilation for scalability and versatility, as well as building command-line interfaces (CLI), is essential.

You'll be working in our new office in Athens, Greece, supporting our organic growth in the country and bolstering the innovation efforts of our Payments and Markets business globally. J.P. Morgan first opened its doors in Greece more than five decades ago, and today we provide products and services from across our Investment Banking, Payments and Asset & Wealth Management businesses.

As part of the Commercial & Investment Bank division, you'll be joining a global leader across banking, markets, securities services and payments. The team provides strategic advice, raises capital, manages risk and extends liquidity in markets around the world.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. You should be able to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little oversight and have practical cloud native experience. Knowledge of the financial services industry and experience with Portfolio Management systems would be particularly valuable.
