The role sits within the rapidly expanding Pre-Sales Engineering team, supporting sales functions and driving revenue growth. You'll be responsible for providing technical expertise during customer evaluations, conducting product demonstrations, and ensuring successful implementation of JumpCloud's solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge identity and access management technology while developing both technical and client-facing skills.

The ideal candidate brings 2-5+ years of technical sales experience, strong presentation skills, and deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, particularly in areas like authentication protocols, MDM solutions, and cloud technologies. You'll need to be comfortable speaking with technical evaluators and IT leaders, adapting your communication style to match different audiences.

Responsibilities For Sales Engineer - United States

  • Act as technical trusted advisor for organizations evaluating JumpCloud platform
  • Provide tailored product demonstrations
  • Uncover customer pain points and align JumpCloud solutions
  • Support direct and partner sales teams
  • Build relationships with partners through technical enablement
  • Assist prospects with setup and configuration of trials
  • Provide technical Q&A to prospects
  • Assess prospect readiness for sales cycle
  • Advise on implementation best practices
  • Identify common technical issues for product development
  • Provide evaluation framework for POCs

Requirements For Sales Engineer - United States

  • 2-5+ years experience in technical sales role or equivalent
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Knowledge of IT, Cloud, SaaS technologies
  • Understanding of network architecture
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML, OIDC/OAuth, LDAP, RADIUS)
  • Familiarity with MDM, RMM, endpoint solutions
  • Experience with scripting languages, PowerShell preferred
  • Experience with direct and channel/partner sales cycles
