Description For Manufacturing Engineer

Juul Labs is on a mission to revolutionize the smoking industry by helping adult smokers transition away from traditional cigarettes while actively preventing underage usage. As a Manufacturing Engineer in our growing Manufacturing Engineering & Sustaining group, you'll play a crucial role in debugging and ramping up automation equipment for next-generation products.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $117,000 to $143,000 USD and requires living within 75 miles of Cookeville, TN, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement. You'll be responsible for working with OEMs to troubleshoot advanced automation equipment, implement improvements to reduce yield loss, and manage sustaining engineering operations.

The ideal candidate brings 5-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in an FDA-regulated industry. You should have a strong background in high-speed automation, robot control, vision systems (preferably Omron), and PLC control. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, with an advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities For Manufacturing Engineer

  • Work with OEMs to troubleshoot/debug advanced automation equipment for new product line
  • Propose and implement equipment design improvements
  • Develop and track metrics for critical machine outputs
  • Train Contract Manufacturer engineering and maintenance personnel
  • Create and maintain process and equipment technical documentation
  • Manage high volume manufacturing execution
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs
  • Drive CM accountability and provide excursion support
  • Ensure site adherence to manufacturing processes

Requirements For Manufacturing Engineer

  • 5-10 years experience in high volume manufacturing engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience with Design Controls, Change Control and Validation in FDA-regulated industry
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and six sigma methodologies
  • 3-5 years working with High-speed automation
  • Familiarity with robots and robot control
  • 3-5 Years Vision Experience, preferred Omron
  • 3-5 years Working knowledge of PLC control
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Working Knowledge of Autocad or similar applications
